Adding to the team!
The highly skilled people at Dymond are responsible for our 40-year-plus heritage in engineering and bespoke metal work, and because our workforce is so important to us, we take recruitment very seriously.
We look for talented individuals, of course, but as importantly, we want people with a can-do attitude and a predilection for teamwork. As some of our staff have been with us for over 20 years, we think that we are doing something right!
Your employees are your company’s real competitive advantage. They’re the ones making the magic happen-so long as their needs are being met. Richard Branson.
So, Branson endorsed (!) I am delighted to share some great news with you! The fabulous Chris Burt accepted our offer and joined us as our Welding Supervisor earlier this year. Chris has both the skill and the attitude that we value, and he fitted straight in – an absolute asset from day one!
It’s a pleasure to welcome Chris to our talented bespoke metal work team!
Introducing Chris
- Outside of work Chris enjoys a quiet glass of wine or gin with his fiancée in the evening
- He is keen on bushcraft, enjoying the liberation of using minimal hand tools to get the job done
- Talking of hand tools – he actually made his own moustache curling iron (inset in main picture!)
- Chris has an eclectic taste in music ranging from Blue Grass to Metal – but he has a particular fondness for The Dead South
- In college he built a functioning hovercraft – and he still loves making things – hence he fits right in here!
- Chris says that the quiet and slower pace is one of his favourite things about Devon
We are passionate about employing people from around the Barnstaple area because it helps to support the local economy – which is more good news as Chris is a Devonian!
