General Statement of Health and Safety Policy

Dymond Engineering and Metal Products Ltd, trading as Dymond Engineering will do everything that is reasonably practicable to protect the health, safety and welfare of both our employees and any other persons affected by our activities. We are a professional and safety conscious organisation, adopting a proactive and inclusive approach to risk and safety management. All work is planned and implemented in accordance with industry best practice and current statutory provisions.

Managerial staff have responsibility for the implementation of this policy and they must ensure that sufficient consideration is given to health and safety matters both when planning and supervising the implementation of our works.

Dymond Engineering will fully comply with the statutory duties placed on it, whilst also complying with, as a matter of best practise, the requirements and duties set out within the HSE Guidance and Approved Codes of Practice.

All employees, including sub-contractors are required to co-operate with and assist in the implementation of the company’s Health and Safety Policy. Additionally employees and sub-contractors must ensure that their own works and actions, as far as reasonably practicable, are carried out without risk to themselves, others or the environment. This includes co-operating with the management team on any health, safety or environment related matters.

Dymond Engineering will do everything reasonably practical to help ensure that potential hazards and risks are identified. Suitable and sufficient preventative measures will then be implemented to help safeguard those undertaking the works, and others who may be affected. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) together with any necessary safety equipment will be provided to all employees to enable them to safely undertake their works. Furthermore the necessary financial resources will be made available by the company in order for Dymond Engineering to comply with its statutory duties and the requirements of this policy.

All employees will be provided with the necessary information, instruction, training and supervision to enable them to perform their work safely.

The Company Directors have overall responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare matters. The operation of this policy and the associated procedures will be monitored and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that they remain current and applicable to the company’s activities.
