When we need absolute precision laser cutting we use our Mazak CNC. The Mazak CNC directs a high power laser beam to exactly where the metal needs to be cut. The metal then melts away leaving a surface edge with a high quality finish. Our CNC laser produces precise cuts straight from your drawings and so each cut is at optimum cost for you. The laser can cut exact shapes and patterns in metal up to a gauge of 5mm and also in steel tubing.

A CNC programme can be set up very quickly which shortens lead times and reduces the cost of creating complex contours.  Our estimators plan to generate the maximum yield from the materials, giving you the lowest possible unit prices, supported by our value engineering skill.

Precision, coupled with the ability to cut complex profiles at high speed, are huge benefits of laser cutting over alternatives such as punching.

As laser systems have a smaller heat-affected zone than other cutting methods, there is reduced likelihood of heat distortion of the material being cut. Distortion is much less likely than with plasma cutting, which is often used for cutting thicker gauge materials.

Laser cutting is also suitable for materials which are difficult or impossible to cut using more traditional methods.
