Replacing tired furniture is near the bottom of most companys’ agendas, it feels like spending money with no business return. But what if your business relies on selling style and comfort through ergonomic office furniture? Popular serviced offices rely on exactly that, and elderly chairs and broken desks are not acceptable in such spaces.
Serviced office spaces
The total revenue of serviced office space is currently £2.2bn, and we are expecting an 81.3% rise this year. This was already a growing sector before COVID, but driving this increase are the post pandemic, new-normal patterns of employment and working practice. Some individuals are setting up small businesses and don’t want building-cost overheads. Others, compelled to work from home, are seeking shared office space for structure and networking opportunities.
We manufacture excellent quality metal frames for office furniture in our Devon factory here in the Southwest. Over the last eighteen months, we have seen a considerable increase in demand from serviced offices. Dymond specialises in volume production, manufacturing commercial furniture for business spaces, which makes us a perfect fit for you if you are a joiner or designer looking for a UK metalwork partner.
We already work alongside joiners and designers who commission Dymond to produce the mild steel frames for desks – including cantilever legged desks – benches, and bookcases. We also build desk frames with secure built-in areas for hard drives. And we can powder coat frames in your choice of colour from the RAL range.
Alongside supplying robust and stylish metal frames for office furniture, we also produce metal desks and tables for commercial kitchens and heavy duty industrial areas like workshops and garages.
Metal cantilever legs for office furniture
I specifically mentioned cantilever legs, earlier. The top of a cantilevered desk is not held up by four legs, as is the convention. Rather the desktop is held up and supported by a single leg or by legs that are attached to one side of the desktop and bent into an L shape. The leg or legs also serve as the desk’s supportive base. Desks and chairs with cantilever legs are really easy to move around, as they are light which makes them ideal for offices where seating arrangements are prone to rearrangement, as is the case in a shared office.
